Koster Park at Stiles Pond
Stiles Pond Beach, just off Main Street, with some of the cleanest fresh water in eastern Massachusetts, is the place to meet friends and neighbors in this relaxed and fun atmosphere during the hot months of June, July and August. The 2008 season will officially begin on June 7th and end on Labor Day weekend. Membership to the Koster Park at Stiles Pond is offered to residents of Boxford only for a nominal fee of $105 per family. Senior rates (62 years and older) is Free. Members may also bring along guests for a small fee to enjoy a day at the beach, which is staffed by certified Red Cross lifeguards.
The Boxford Athletic Association's dedicated volunteers run the beach during the summer months and there are always plenty of fun things to do. There are paddleboats, canoes and kayaks to use all free of charge. A concession stand serving hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream and slush is open during prime time hours. There's basketball and volleyball area, a playground for the children, docks and floats and plenty of picnic tables. Family picnics and cookouts are a tradition at Koster Park. In July, Red Cross Swimming Lessons will be offered for an additional fee. PLEASE READ THE BROUCHURE FOR ALL FEES AND RULES. THE LIFEGUARDS ARE EMPOWERED TO REVOKE OR SUSPEND A MEMBER'S PRIVLEGES FOR VIOLATIONS OF ANY OF THE REGULATIONS.
The Beach operates exclusively by the fees that the membership pays and absolutely no tax dollars are spent towards improvements or maintenance. The Beach Committee has worked hard over the years to make Koster Park something we can all be proud of. We look forward to seeing everyone this summer. Boxford Summer Park Program
The Park Program at Stiles Pond is back this summer!
Now open to children entering kindergarten through 7th grade, the program is designed to provide social and creative activities for children in a safe, supervised recreational atmosphere at Koster Field, next to Stiles Pond. The program will be conducted Tuesday through Thursday from 9:30-11:30 am during the following weeks:
Week 1 June 24, 25, 26
Week 2 July 1, 2, 3
Week 3 July 8, 9, 10
Week 4 July 15, 16, 17
Week 5 July 22, 23, 24
Week 6 July 29, 30, 31
This year you can sign up your child for all 6 weeks for only $100 if you register by June 15.
Your third or fourth child are only $50 each; $300 max per family.
Weekly rate is $40 per week per child.
