Players A,B,C,1 & 2
Rush the Goal Keeper

|
The
purpose of this play is to create confusion and anxiety for our
opponents! Our
players are shown in yellow
and green.
The opposition is pink
and the ball is teal.
Our kicker controls
the play. She drops her hand and our players start
running. The kicker times her kick, so the ball meets our
players near the other team's goal keeper. |

Our Corner Kicker Controls This Play -
when our kicker drops her arm, everyone run into position. Time
your run so everyone arrives at the same time. On the picture
above, those with longer lines need to run faster and those with shorter
lines need to run slower. Players K, A, B, C, 1, and 2 are key
players. Timing is everything!

Simple Drills: |
| Try It Out! |
Timing is the Key to
this Play! On the surface this corner kick
play looks too simple to be effective. In reality, the
other team usually panics and does something stupid - like scoring
on themselves! |
| Practice, Practice,
Practice! |
Again - Timing is
Everything! Our corner kicker controls the play -
when she drops her arm, everyone runs into position. She
times her kick so that the ball arrives at the same time as our
players do - right in front of the opponent's keeper!
Opportunities to look for:
- Header/Body Goal from players A,
B, 1 or 2
- Short sided foot goal from Player C
- Rebound goal from any outside player x
or K
- Letting the other team score on
themselves!
